What’s the first thing you do when you arrive in Buenos Aires? The first thing you always do at your first milonga is grab the free copies of El Tangauta magazine. Besides interesting articles, you’ll also find the dates and locations of the hottest milongas, as well as addresses for shoe and music shops and tango schools.
Anyone who wants to see what’s going on in Buenos Aires can’t avoid this magazine, especially since it’s up-to-date and free.
According to information I just received from the webmaster of the Tangauta website, both the magazine and the website are currently being modernized. Although El Tangauta has been bilingual for some time now (yes, it wasn’t very noticeable), there will at least be an English summary in the future. The website has also been redesigned and looks significantly fresher and more functional.
So, if you’re not afraid of the foreign language, you can read here about what’s happening in Buenos Aires and immerse yourself in the local tango scene.
